This Saturday, I will receive my 3rd Attunement and attend Advanced Reiki Training.  
In some ways, it seems like just yesterday that I was attuned for the first time and in
other ways, it seems as if it has always been a part of me... it just is.  The
Attunement process is very powerful-- sort of like the heavens opening up and
bestowing their gifts upon you.  The Reiki Master performs a ritual, praying over you
and then places the secret symbols in your hands.  These symbols are the same ones
that Dr. Usui, Sensei saw after a month long sabbatical high atop a mountain.  Some
of these symbols are the same ones I have doodled and dreamt of since I was a
child.  Pretty amazing.
I am excited about my Advanced Reiki Training because I really feel well on my way
and ready to become a Master.  I want to give this gift to others.  I enjoy giving
Reiki and seeing the healing in a client.  When I am laying my hands on a client and I
feel him/her relax and breathe easy, it is one of the most powerful moments in my
life.  When I call upon the energy and pray for the highest good, it's like a silvery
cocoon descends over me, a calmness, and for once I step out of the way and
become a conduit.  When you are someone who has to be in charge a lot, it's very
nice to have a physical and emotional reminder of Who really is.
The most amazing change in me since I became a Reiki Healer is confidence.  I used
to be fairly cocky, filled with false bravado, desperate to prove that I was worthy and
worthwhile.  Since my first attunement, I no longer feel the need to prove anything.
 I have full realization of who I am and why I am here.

I feel that completely now.
